Soft skills, such as good communication, ambitiousness, amicability. and problem-solving are more important than ever. Employers have reported that soft skills are now considered to be equally, if not more, important than technical skills. However, many employers have stated how difficult it is to find candidates with the soft skill set that is needed for their organization. This is coming at a time when automation and technology have taken over jobs that did not necessarily require a strict set of soft skills and manners. Jobs that cannot be automated require employees to be friendly, empathetic, think on their feet, solve problems and so forth. There has been a steady increase in screening methods, pre-hire personality assessments, and training programs in order to combat this growing concern.  Many Montgomery County employers have disclosed that soft skills are extremely desirable in every level (including entry) of the organization and are not limited to managerial or executive level positions.
